Montenegro has closed two more negotiation chapters, solidifying its progress in joining the EU and demonstrating the ongoing momentum of its reform process.
Montenegro has closed two more negotiation chapters, further demonstrating its commitment to EU integration. The country has now completed 18 of 33 negotiation chapters, a significant achievement in its accession process. The Ministry of Finance, which has played a key role in the negotiation process, has successfully fulfilled all its obligations, contributing to the closure of these two chapters. This achievement underscores the Ministry's crucial role in driving the reform process, which is essential for Montenegro's integration into the EU. In the context of Chapter 29 on Customs Union, Montenegro has established a modern and fully compliant customs system, aligned with EU law. This has been achieved by integrating the entire legal framework in the customs area.
